TEAMS FINALS CAMPAIGNS COME TO AN END

The Azzco Engineering Lady Heat and King Construction Men Heat's bowed out of the 2023 Big V finals with losses in their respective elimination finals Saturday night.

Unfortunately, the Lady Heat just could not match the Western Port outfit with the final score 80-57, while the men's game went right down to the wire with Wallan holding on with a 70-66 finish.

It was a huge night at the Ausloans Mildura Hothouse with at least 600 in attendance to see the teams in action, which shows Basketball is alive and thriving within the Mildura region.

With the end of the season, comes the end to several players time with the Heat including Sammy Gazzo, Demalza Henry, Mikayla Hermans and Vanessa Power. Special mention to Power, an amazing athlete that has been part of the senior program for the past 21 years for 370 games, and not only a championship player, but the recipient of a multitude of individual league awards multiple times throughout her career, including Most Valuable Player, All Star Five, Leading Scorer just to name a few.
