SAUNDERS AND ZAPPIA TO LEAD CBL 2025

Mildura Basketball is excited to announce the appointment of Jack Saunders and Pas Zappia as the Head Coaches of our CBL teams for the 2025 season.

This will be the first time leading a program for both Jack and Pas, it's fantastic to see players wanting to broaden their basketball experience and also give back, Mildura Basketball is excited to be able to offer this opportunity.

On their appointments: Jack Saunders - Head Coach Women I am very thankful for the opportunity to coach the Mildura Women’s CBL team for the 2025 season. For our ladies, playing in the CBL team is a fantastic opportunity for to further develop their games and skillsets in preparation for joining the Big V program next year.

This is my first time coaching a senior team, so I am looking forward to a unique and different challenge  in the sport that I love so much!

Pas Zappia - Head Coach Men

I’ve been lucky enough to be involved in the prior two CBL seasons as an assistant coach and I’ve found it incredibly rewarding to see the growth of our youth players as they develop their skills against the high level competition that CBL gives us access to. 

My goal this year in the head coaching role is to continue to foster the kind of positive environment that I’ve witnessed in prior years, as well as to further develop my own coaching skills. I'm looking forward to seeing the players involved in the program continue taking steps of improvement and to seeing the team celebrate each others' successes together as a unit.

Head Coaches would like to invite eligible players to tryout out for our 2025 CBL Heat Teams.
