Junior Rep Ready Program

The Mildura Basketball Junior Heat Rep Ready Program gives young ballers the opportunity to learn some of the concepts and fundamentals that are vital in the selection process for representative basketball.

This 8-week program, delivered by experienced representative coaches, will develop athletes' basic basketball fundamentals in a safe environment and prepare participants to be ‘Rep Ready’ for the upcoming Junior try-outs!


Objectives of the Program:

  • Preparation for Junior Heat Representative team trials to be held. 

  • An understanding of what it will take to play for Mildura Junior Heat.

  • Learn basic fundamental skills of the game to assist you take your game to new levels.

  • Gain insight into the style of play that Junior Heat will be running through their representative program.

  • Provide feedback to players and coaches on performance of various skills to help them take the next step in their Basketball careers.

The 2023 programs will run:

Under 11 & Under 13 - REGISTRATION CLOSED


May - 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st, June - 7th, 14th, 21st

4:30pm - 5:30pm Under 11's (Players born 2013, 2014 & 2015)

5:30pm - 6:30pm Under 13's (Players born 2011 & 2012)

Cost: $30.00 per participant for the full 8-week program

Under 15 & Under 17 - REGISTRATION OPEN 


May - 17th, 24th, 31st, June - 7th, 14th, 21st

5:30pm - 6:30pm ALL (Players born 2008, 2009 & 2010)

Cost: $20.00 per participant for the full 6-week program

** Participation in this program does not make attendance at Junior Heat tryouts compulsory, it remains your choice.

Also, please understand attendance at the Rep Ready Program does not grant automatic entry into the Junior Heat Representative Program.  Selections are always subjective and there are many aspects of selection of any team including required positions, team chemistry, roles and potential.
