The Big V is Victoria's elite basketball league, comprising of over one hundred semi-professional teams in twelve competitions.
With teams in both the women's and men's competitions, Big V is Mildura Basketball's senior elite basketball program.

Head Coaches James Madigan and Mahaela Jackson are currently taking expressions of interest for the Support Coach roles with the Big V program.
For the 2026 season we are excited to introduce the position of Development Coach. The Development Coach positions are designed to support emerging coaches interested in exploring pathways by giving the opportunity to enhance knowledge of the game of basketball with a high-quality experience of working with our top athletes throughout a Big V Season.

The MBA Board and Senior Heat Committee are pleased to confirm the appointment of James Madigan and Mahaela Jackson as our Big V Head Coaches for the 2026 Season.
Madigan with a coaching resume spanning over 40 years and Jackson with over 30 years, bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program.
